Room 8- Ages 4-5.5 years

Our pre-kindergarten classroom is designed to be a warm, inviting, and stimulating environment for
children, usually aged four to five years old. The space is colorful and filled with age-appropriate

materials that encourage exploration and learning through play.

In our pre-kindergarten classroom, you will find various centers such as a reading corner with books
and comfortable seating, an art station stocked with supplies for creative projects, and a block area
for building and spatial awareness activities. There is also be a science corner with simple
experiments and nature-related items, as well as a dramatic play area where children can engage in

imaginative role-playing and music.

The classroom layout is open and flexible, allowing for both individual and group activities. Teachers
incorporate routines and structures to help children feel secure while also encouraging social
interaction and cooperation among peers. Daily activities include circle time for songs and storytelling,hands-on learning experiences, outdoor play, and opportunities for self-directed activities.

 

Overall, the focus in this classroom is on fostering a love of learning, developing social skills, and
building foundational cognitive and motor skills in a supportive and engaging environment, while

preparing for a successful transition into kindergarten.
